The Giacomo Field Jacket is inspired by the M-65 military jacket in washed cotton canvas—a direct reference to the U.S. Army model introduced in 1965 and adopted by adult men’s wardrobes as a transitional jacket for mid-seasons. The construction retains the original identifying features of the military garment—four flap pockets (two on the chest, two on the sides), a drawstring waist, epaulets on the shoulders, a front zipper closure with a button-snap flap, and a high collar with a hidden zipper compartment to house the detachable hood.
