The Francesco Wool Overcoat reimagines the wool coat in a contemporary style with a mandarin collar—a design that forgoes the traditional pointed or spear-shaped lapels of the classic tailored overcoat, featuring a single-breasted, two-button front closure. The structured high collar ends just below the chin, giving the coat a clean, architectural silhouette compared to the wide V-neck of the Chesterfield or traditional Crombie—a design more closely aligned with the contemporary evolution of the men’s coat than with the historic Victorian model. The slim-tailored cut hugs the torso without excessive bulk, allowing the coat to be worn over a suit jacket or directly over a turtleneck for a smart-casual look. The welt chest pocket and two flap side pockets maintain the classic tailored construction, with a dark inner lining completing the finish of this structured overcoat.
