The Alfredo Gentleman Cardigan reinterprets the chunky-knit cardigan with a structured high neck—a nod to the tradition of the British fisherman’s cardigan and its adoption into the Italian tailored wardrobe as a mid-season piece. The heavy English rib knit creates a three-dimensional texture throughout the garment, distinguishing it from the thin, fine-knit cardigan and positioning it as a structured piece. The knitted high collar provides coverage for the neck without extending down over a turtleneck, serving as a substitute for a scarf on cool days without altering the garment’s style. The front button closure and the two patch pockets on the sides reinforce the classic construction, free of zippers or added details.
