The Dante Collared Bomber Jacket draws inspiration from the Harrington jacket with a pointed collar—the British archetype of the lightweight adult jacket, codified by the Baracuta G9 in 1937 and adopted into the international men’s wardrobe through figures such as Steve McQueen and Frank Sinatra. The construction retains the design elements of the original model—flat pointed collar, center-front zipper, solid ribbed trim at the waist and cuffs, and two side welt pockets—distinguishing the garment from the ribbed-collar MA-1 bomber and the striped-trim varsity jacket. The cotton fabric, with its light wind resistance, holds the garment’s shape without the weight of workwear canvas or the stiffness of technical sports fabric. The absence of contrasting trim, external logos, or decorative stitching keeps the garment in a minimalist, adult aesthetic—a more understated look compared to the varsity bomber or the leather café racer.
